Wearing of the Badge/Uniform

On-Duty, Uniformed Employees. Uniformed employees shall wear their official Department-issued badge on the outermost garment of their uniform.


WHO SHALL WEAR UNIFORM. All employees regardless of rank shall wear the prescribed uniform and personal equipment during their tours of duty.

EXEMPTIONS TO WEARING UNIFORMS. The following officers are exempted from wearing the prescribed uniforms - N/A

Accessories

BASEBALL CAP. May optionally be worn with Polos or Class B/C uniforms. It shall be dark blue in colour and display "GOLD COAST PUBLIC SAFTEY" on it.

BODYCAM. Bodycams shall be worn; the newer Coil Body 3 is to be used.

Note: It still stays optional for everyone

BEANIE. May optionally be worn during inclement weather. The beanie shall be black in colour.

BELT. Black nylon duty belt with a plastic buckle.

     Note: Black Basket Weave leather belt, with gold buckle and gold pouch buttons may be worn.

EXTERNAL ARMOUR. Guards may choose to wear external body armour with the Polo or Class B/C Uniform. External carrier vests shall be black in colour, and must display "GOLD COAST PUBLIC SAFETY" on the front and the back.

EXTERNAL CARRIER VEST (STAB VEST). Guards may choose to wear external carrier vests with the Polo or Class B/C Uniform. External carrier vests shall be dark blue in colour, and must display "GOLD COAST PUBLIC SAFETY" on the front and the back.

EXTERNAL LOAD BEARING VEST. Guards may choose to wear external load-bearing vests with the Polo or Class B/C Uniform. External load-bearing vests shall be black in color, and must display "GOLD COAST PUBLIC SAFETY".

Note: belt number "194" under "Shirt / Accessory" shall be used

EARPIECE. Guards may also choose to wear Earpieces on patrol. 

GLOVES. Black leather or knitted gloves may be worn for inclement weather. Nitrile gloves may be worn when providing first aid, or collecting evidence.

HOLSTER. All guards shall wear their black holster on their belt or around the legs. 

JACKETS. Guards may choose to wear a issued jacket during inclement weather, or during cold periods of time. It shall be dark blue in color, it also shall have the department logo on the shoulder.

SWEATER. Guards may optionally wear a woolen sweater. It shall be navy blue in color and bear the department facsimile badge on it. 

SHOULDER / CHEST MIC. Guards may choose to wear a shoulder or chest mic for their radio.

TASER. If an guard chooses to utilise a taser, they shall use a yellow taser.

Dropleg Holster: Guards may use the dropleg taser holster. This may be used with any uniform. 

Uniform Types

Class A Uniform

Shall be worn by any guard attending a formal event.


BELT. Black leather belt, with silver buckle. 

SHIRT. Long sleeve shirt to be worn with the tie. 

PANTS. Standard duty pants.

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

Class B / C Uniform

May be worn by security officers conducting field activities.


SHIRT. Long sleeve or short sleeve shirt, with open collar.

PANTS. Dark blue BDU pants. 

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

Polo Uniform

May be worn by security officers conducting field activities.


SHIRT. Dark blue Polo shirt, must have a appropriate department badge on it.

PANTS. Dark blue BDU pants. 

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.
