301 - VEHICLE STRUCTURE
301.1 - VEHICLE STRUCTURE DEFINED.
The Vehicle Structure is designed to inform all security personnel of the specific regulations and authorized uses for vehicles within every department.
Policy Status: All guards shall treat the Vehicle Structure as a formal extension of the Department Manual.
Compliance: Purposefully violating the regulations set out in the Vehicle Structure will be treated as a direct policy violation and subject to disciplinary action.
The Department utilizes specialized vehicles equipped with factory-authorized performance packages.
Authorized Upgrades: Vehicles may be outfitted with Engine, Transmission, and Brake upgrades to ensure operational efficiency.
Restriction: These upgrades must be part of the official department fleet package. Individual employees are prohibited from applying their own performance modifications.
No department vehicle shall be modified outside of the regulation-following "extras" defined within this manual.
Prohibited Modifications: Employees are strictly forbidden from altering the appearance of agency vehicles. Prohibited actions include, but are not limited to:
Color Alteration: Changing the paint color or livery from the agency-standard design.
Visual Enhancements: The use of non-standard wheel types, underglow lighting, or tinted window films outside of agency spec.
Software Modifiers: Using any external vehicle modifiers or unauthorized tuning software.
