Wearing of the ID Badge/Uniforms

On-Duty, Uniformed Employees. Uniformed employees shall wear the uniform with there correct logo on it.


WHO SHALL WEAR UNIFORM. All employees regardless of rank shall wear the prescribed uniform and personal equipment during their tours of duty.

EXEMPTIONS TO WEARING UNIFORMS. The following officers are exempted from wearing the prescribed uniforms - N/A

Accessories

BASEBALL CAP. May optionally be worn with Polos or Class B/C uniforms. It shall be black in colour and must display appropriate department Logo.

BODYCAM. Bodycams may be worn by protection officer's; the newer Coil Body 3 is to be used.

BEANIE. May optionally be worn during inclement weather. The beanie shall be black in colour.

CAP (HAT). Protection officer's, while on-duty, shall ensure that their uniform hat is serviceable and available either at their closest station or in their patrol vehicle.

     Note: May be used when requested with Class A, B & C

EXTERNAL ARMOUR. Protection officer's may choose to wear external armour when conducting their duties in Class B, C or Polo uniforms. Shall be black in colour, and must display appropriate department Logo or "SECURITY" on it.

EXTERNAL CARRIER VEST (STAB VEST). Protection officer's may choose to wear external carrier vests when conducting their duties in Class B, C or Polo uniforms. External carrier vests shall be black in colour, and must display appropriate department Logo.

EXTERNAL LOAD BEARING VEST. Protection officer's may choose to wear external load-bearing vests when conducting their duties in Class B, C or Polo uniforms. External carrier vests shall be black in colour, and must display appropriate department Logo.

EARPIECE. Protection officer's may also choose to wear Earpieces on patrol. 

GLOVES. Black leather or knitted gloves may be worn for inclement weather. Nitrile gloves may be worn when providing first aid, or collecting evidence.

HELMETS. Protection officer's may carry a ballistic helmet in their patrol vehicle for situations which require extra ballistic protection. Ballistic helmets shall be black in colour.

HOLSTER. All protection officer's shall wear their black holster on their belt or around the legs. 

JACKETS. Protection officer's may choose to wear a department-issued jacket during inclement weather, or during cold periods of time. Must display appropriate department Logo

SHOULDER / CHEST MIC. Protection officer's may choose to wear a shoulder or chest mic for their radio.

TASER. If an protection officer's chooses to utilise a taser, they shall use a black taser.

Dropleg Holster: Protection officer's may use the dropleg taser holster. This may be used with any uniform. 

TURTLENECK. Protection officer's may choose to wear a department-issued turtleneck under their duty shirt during inclement weather. It shall be black in colour

Standard Uniform Types

Class A Uniform

May be worn by protection officer conducting field activities.
Shall be worn by any protection officer attending a formal event.


BELT. Black nylon duty belt with a plastic buckle.

SHIRT. Black long sleeve shirt to be worn with the tie.

Note: White coloured shirt are supervisors only.

PANTS. Standard duty pants, black in colour with or without the red line on it.

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

Class B / C Uniform

May be worn by protection officer conducting field activities.


BELT. Black nylon duty belt with a plastic buckle.

SHIRT. Long or short sleeve shirt, with open collar.

Note: White coloured shirt are supervisors only.

PANTS. Standard duty or cargo pants, black in colour with or without the red line on it.

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

Polo Uniform

May be worn by protection officer conducting field activities.


BELT. Black nylon duty belt with a plastic buckle.

SHIRT. Black Polo shirt, must have Merryweather markings on it.

Note: White coloured polo are supervisors only.

PANTS. Standard duty or cargo pants, black in colour with or without the red line on it.

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

K-9 Uniform

Shall be worn by any protection officer assigned to K-9.


BELT. Black nylon duty belt with a plastic buckle.

SHIRT. Short sleeve shirt or long sleeve with or without forearm protection. must have Merryweather markings on it.

Note: White coloured shirt are supervisors only.

PANTS. Cargo pants, black in colour with or without the red line on it.

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

Specialist Uniform Types

Humane Labs & Research Security Unit

May be worn by humane labs protection officer conducting field activities.


BASEBALL CAP. May optionally be worn, they shall be black in color with the blue department logo.

BELT. Enlisted security personnel are prohibited from using duty belts. All equipment shall be securely affixed to either their tactical vest or the designated duty pants belt.

BOOTS. Black combat boots. 

EXTERNAL BALLISTC EQUIPMENT. Enlisted security personnel shall always equip themselves with a vest or stab vest in operational black, prominently featuring the blue department logo on the front, and wear a dark blue colored helmet at all times.

GAS MASK. Enlisted security personnel may only wear gas masks in specific situations, subject to approval from a supervisor, intercom announcement, or authorization from a high-ranking science personnel.

GLOVES. Nitrile gloves may be worn when providing first aid, or collecting evidence.

HOLSTER. Enlisted security personnel are required to wear their black holster either on their duty pants belt or around their legs.

PANTS. Enlisted security personnel shall wear standard duty pants in a grey color with a thin dark blue line.

SHIRT. Enlisted security personnel shall wear the department issued class a shirt.

Hazardous Environment Control Unit (H.E.C.U)

On-duty personnel must obtain permission from a duty supervisor to be authorized to deploy as "H.E.C.U"

BERET. H.E.C.U Supervisors may wear their red beret unless conditions prohibit it. The beret must bear a silver logo.

CLOTHING. H.E.C.U personnel must wear the gray Merryweather camopattern with the red Merryweather logo, comprising both the combat shirt and pants. Combat boots shall be black in color.

EXTERNAL BALLISTC EQUIPMENT. H.E.C.U personnel must equip themselves with a heavy vest in operational dark green and wear a similarly colored helmet at all times.

GAS MASK. H.E.C.U personnel may only wear gas masks in specific situations, subject to approval from a supervisor.

GLOVES. Gloves in solid, black colored may be worn in situations where extra protection is required. Nitrile gloves may be worn when providing first aid, or collecting evidence. 

HOLSTER. H.E.C.U personnel are required to wear their black holster around their legs. 

MASK. H.E.C.U personnel may wear a balaclava for personal preference; it must be black in color.

Private Military Contractor (P.M.C)

P.M.C personnel can only deploy in the area of "Cayo Perico" or "Los Santos Naval Port"

Note: Naval Port patrol needs supervisor permission


BASEBALL CAP. PMC personnel may wear a cap in grey, tan, or brown with the red Merryweather logo on it.

CLOTHING. PMC personnel may wear clothing with the red Merryweather logo on it. Shall be in grey, tan, green, or brown in color.

PANTS. PMC personnel may wear cargo pants in grey, tan, green, or brown. 

BOOTS. Combat boots shall be black, tan, green, or gray in color. 

EXTERNAL BALLISTIC EQUIPMENT. PMC personnel must equip themselves with a heavy vest in grey, tan, green, or brown, may featuring the red Merryweather logo. 

GAS MASK. PMC personnel may only wear gas masks in specific situations, subject to approval from a supervisor.

MASK. PMC personnel may wear a balaclava for personal preference; it must be a neutral color.
