102 - PERSONAL EQUIPMENT
102.1 - FIREARMS.
102.11 POSSESSION REQUIRED. Every employee shall possess an authorized firearm.
Exemption: Employees with LSIAPD Security, TSS, LSPRD Security shall not possess any firearms.
102.12 AUTHORIZED FIREARMS. Guards shall only possess firearms which the agency have authorized.
Handguns. Guards may choose to use attachments. Authorized attachments are: Flashlight, slide-mounted red dot sight
Pistol: 12 round magazine.
Pistol Mk2: 12 round magazine.
Langley Pistol: 12 round magazine.
VF Pistol: 15 round magazine.
Service Pistol: 17 round magazine.
Gardone Pistol: 15 round magazine.
Duty Pistol: 15 round magazine.
Duty Pistol Mk2: 17 round magazine.
D&P9 Pistol: 15 round magazine.
Combat Pistol: 12 round magazine.
Endurance Pistol: 13 round magazine.
950 Pistol: 17 round magazine.
Pistol .50: 9 round magazine.
Double-Action Revolver: 6 round capacity. May be used by Chuff Security Cooperation, Lock & Load Security.
Note: Shall use the appropriate belt for it, it may exam the belt policy for non-government agencies
Heavy Pistol: 18 round magazine.
Heavy Pistol LE: 8 round magazine.
SNS Pistol: 6 round magazine. May be used as a backup firearm.
SNS Pistol Mk2: 6 round magazine. May be used as a backup firearm.
Urban Patrol Rifles. Guards may choose to use attachments. Authorized attachments are: Grip, Flashlight, Scope, Assortment of Muzzle Brakes, Small Scope, Large Scope or the Holographic Sight. May be used by anyone with supervisor permission.
Military Carbine: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
Carbine Rifle: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
Carbine Rifle Mk2: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
Combat Rifle (AR15): 30 round magazine. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
Service Carbine (M16): 30 round magazine optional. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
Service Carbine (M4): 30 round magazine. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
H&L Navy Carbine: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
SMG: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
VF Tactical Carbine: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
VF Heavy Rifle: 30 round magazine. Only to be used by Senior Security Guard and above.
Note: Cash In Transit units may use UPR's if an on-duty Supervisor gives them permission.
Shotguns. Guards may choose to use attachments. The Department-authorized attachments are: Flashlight.
Tactical Shotgun: 8 round capacity.
Sporty: 8 round capacity.
Pump Shotgun: 8 round capacity.
Wooden Pump Shotgun: 8 round capacity.
Military Shotgun: 5 round capacity.
Combat Shotgun: 6 round capacity.
Less-Lethal.
Beanbag shotgun: A less lethal beanbag shotgun, All other agencies shall use the orange version.
Stungun: Be sure to use the correct tint depending on the agency.
40mm Less-Lethal Launcher: All other agencies shall use the black version.
102.13 BACKUP FIREARMS. Backup firearms shall be concealed in either a waistband holster, or an ankle holster.
102.14 ADDON WEAPON ATTACHMENTS. Addon weapons listed in 102.12 may be further customized with attachments listed in this sheet, as long as they conform to authorized attachment restrictions listed in 102.12.
102.15 SUPPRESSOR USAGE. Guards shall NOT utilize suppressors on their firearms.
102.2 -PERSONAL EQUIPMENT.
Uniformed Guards:
Baton. Either the extendable baton, or the nightstick may be used. Extendable baton may be blacked parkerized finish (Black tint), blued steel finish (Blue tint), or stainless chromed finish (Platinum tint).
Cuffs. Normally 2 pairs of standard steel cuffs.
Radio.
Pepperspray.
Duty Holster.
Authorized Firearm.
Stungun (Optional).
Flashlight. Pocket flashlight with White, Red or UV light may be used.
Knife (Optional). Blade length shall be no longer than 4 inches.
During specific situations other equipment may be carried:
Disposable plastic handcuffs.
Plainclothes Internal Affairs:
Ammunition.
Department ID.
Handcuffs and Key.
Pen/Pencil.
Authorized Firearm.
Flashlight (Optional)
Extendable Baton. (Optional)
102.3 -VEHICLE EQUIPMENT.
First Aid Kit.
"Go Bag". Your own bag filled with snacks, extra clothing etc.
External Armour. As prescribed by Agency Standards.
Personal Protective Equipment. May consist of work gloves, nitrile gloves, a mask, goggles etc.
Urban Patrol Rifle (If Applicable).
Shotgun (Optional).
Beanbag Shotgun (Optional)
Fire Extinguisher.
Citation Book. Only to be used by LSIAPD T&S.
Police Tape. Only to be used by LSIAPD T&S.
Traffic Cones.
Flares.
