MANUAL

Security Guards shall comply with all standards and regulations set forth within the Department Manual. It is recognized that the Department Manual cannot cover every possible situation a guard may encounter; however, in cases where a specific procedure is not provided, guards are expected to exercise sound judgment and follow the existing principles of the manual to the best of their ability.

• Disciplinary Action: Failure to abide by the standards within this manual may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or loss of agency membership.

Supervisors are tasked with the oversight of field operations and are responsible for ensuring full compliance with the Department Manual.

• Enforcement: Supervisors shall actively enforce all written standards and provide guidance to guards when manual procedures are unclear.

• Accountability: Supervisors may be held accountable for the policy violations of their subordinates if they fail to take corrective action when a violation is observed.
