403 - LAW ENFORCEMENT & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
403.1 - ASSISTANCE TO GOVERNMENT WORKERS.
Per Penal Code (10)08. Good Samaritan Clause, security personnel have a legal allowance to assist government agents under specific conditions:
Requested Assistance: Personnel may assist a government worker (Police, EMS, etc.) in carrying out official business only if requested by that worker. Guards must not exceed the powers or authorities of the official they are assisting.
Aid Under Duress: Personnel may come to the aid of a government worker who is in duress or incapacitated to protect their life or assist in informing other official agents.
Subordination: Unless a life-safety emergency exists or assistance is requested, security guards must remain subordinate and not interfere with active government operations.
